In our culture, leather is considered a high-quality material and many people desire to possess leather products as a way to boost their self-image. Rarely, however, any of those people are aware that the leather industry is torturing and murdering animals, as well as that it’s destroying the environment in the process of creating leather products.
The eye-opening video below shows disturbing footage taken inside of multiple crocodile farms in Vietnam, exposing the hidden cost of crocodile skin trade. One of the farms featured provides crocodile leather for Louis Vuitton, which is often viewed as a symbol of wealth and status, but should actually be viewed as a symbol of cruelty.
