Nowadays, with the advent of social media, people are constantly trying to create a social image of themselves in order to show off and compete with others, and the psychological consequences of that are quite negative.
In the following video, spiritual teacher Ekhart Tolle explains in a beautiful way people’s urge to construct an identify for themselves and externalize it using social media, and why we need to let go of our continuous compulsion to interpret who we are to ourselves and others in order to find inner peace and contentment.
